The press room provides access to daily and weekly press. This room is also a place to find information about the city of Lyon, its cultural activities, sports facilities, daily life (food, transport, shopping); free visits and concerts available and the various students associations.
Activities organised by the CIEF
To help students become part of living French culture whilst simultaneously learning the language, the Entertainment Department proposes a range of tourist and cultural activities, such as: - Themed visits of Lyon - Guided tours of French and European cities - Evening activities - Recreational and discovery weekends - Cultural or gastronomy-based events The CIEF organises and participates financially in the activities proposed by the Entertainment Department.

Leisure activities in Lyon
Lyon provides a wide range of cultural and recreational activities throughout the academic year and during the summer. - The Fourvière Festival in July: dramatic and lyric theatre in the Roman archeological site - The Jazz festival in Vienne (24km south of Lyon) in June and July - Opening of the cultural season in September - The Tête d’Or park (105 hectares) in the center of the city: free zoo, African plain, botanical greenhouses, rowing boats and pedalos on the lake, cycle path - Gerland Park at the confluence of the Rhone and the Saone, devoted to leisure and sports activities - The Miribel-Jonage Park near Lyon, a water sports activity center - Open-air swimming pool just 100m from the University - The banks of the Rhone, which have been restored with pedestrian and cycle paths (self-service bicycle park opposite the CIEF)
